Macau Economic and Cultural Promoting Association

Macau Economic and Cultural Promoting Association was prepared to be built in 2000, and be founded formally in 2003 at Macau. In 2006 it was made public officially. The Association was formed by volunteers from industry’s entrepreneurs, industrialists and personages of Macau, the basics of the Association are national unity, ardent love for our motherland and promoting the economic and cultural development of Macau. It is a non-profit-making association mainly focuses on developing the comprehensive co-operation of economic and cultural research, exchanging, exhibition and meeting of Macau, and realizing collaborative development. The Association holds the people from home and abroad together, concentrates strength on the construction and development of Macau to revive the city’s economy.

Since Macau's return to Chinese sovereignty, its politics, economy and culture all emerge a brand-new prospect. Macau SAR government leads the public and organizations to strive to realize a durable and healthy development of local economy. As a association in Macau in that special period of Macau People Administer Macau in 1999, leaders of the Association played a significant role in protecting the basic human rights of Macau people, thereby received the acknowledge and respect from Macau people, and the Association was getting stronger. In year of 2003 which the Association was founded, it became a power that can not to be neglected in Macau’s associations. In recent years, the Association proposes the separation and balance of government authority, government responsibility and legal administration, and played an important role in some important economic and cultural affairs of Macau.

Today, the communication of Macau is thriving; the economical system has been formed. Macau can not prosper just by herself; it must develop its economy under the global and domestic economy development, and let all citizens take benefit from its achievement. We advocate respecting private interest, upgrading the people’s living standard, direct enterprise’s stable development, promoting employment, proposing environmental protection, maintaining the stabilization and harmony of Macau’s economy and stimulating the continual development of Macau’s economy and culture.
